    RemixAmerica.org is a multi-partisan, non-profit website that uses digital technology to give everyone the chance to own the words, the music, the images and sounds of America in digital form; to remix those expressions and ideas with their own; and to send the products of our community's creativity out to the world... where others will come back to us and start it all over again...
    We want to be a home for the millions of voices that can change the National conversation. There's no telling where this can go – we want to be the place where millions can post their dreams, their hopes, their frustrations about our country via text, video responses and remixes...

    RemixAmerica.org combines digital technology (an in-browser remixer and Web 2.0-style member features) with the great ideas of American Democracy (The American Playlist) AND the latest ideas about America to create a new digital platform for public expression.

    Remixing is an art form based on your rights for public expression. Your use of copyrighted material is protected under the Fair Use laws. You can read about them here.

  6. WHAT IS A "TALKBACK?"
    Very simply, a "TalkBack" is a way for you to leave a video comment using your webcam. Hitting the "talkback" button on the Remix Player will allow you to easily record your reactions to remixes via your webcam.
  7. WHO OWNS MY REMIX?
    You do. Your remix is covered by the Creative Commons "Sharing / Attribution" License. Read all about it here.
  8. WHY DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP? WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
    You don't have to sign up to watch remixes. You do have to sign up and become a member to leave comments and "talkbacks." Also, becoming a member gives you the option to get notifications and emails from us about new developments on the site.
